Weighing in at just 825KG the 106 Rallye may well be the best way to sample Peugeot at what is generally considered its hot hatchback peak.
Launched in the UK at the London Motor Show in late October 1993 when the market was obsessed with alloy wheels Peugeot had the confidence in the cars ability to supply the cars in a choice of only three colours with white-painted Michelin steel wheels and wind-up windows. Inside were model specific bucket seats, red carpets and belts, a stylish 3 spoke steering wheel and an absence of central locking. The exhaustive list of optional extras offered were a sunroof and ABS.
Take the car for a drive and experience for yourself the sensations referenced within the outstanding period and contemporary road reviews .
The 106 Rallye remains to this day an exceptional drivers car, nothing has changed other than the modern equivalent has put on a few pounds!
